In the midst of the society of the spectacle, as Benjamin Franklin well highlighted, who are we?
The project A Sombra de mim, critically brings the use of social networks as a form of self-affirmation of an individual's identity. With black and white photographs of daily life in Madrid, I tried to understand where I was in so many scenarios, and I found myself present in many shadows.
The project followed descriptions and locations on the instagram platform, in different languages, questioning my own identity in things, scenes and paths. In fact, what is shown through the networks is a shadow of what we live, a specific cut of what we want to show. Or even a clipping of what we see about ourselves.
Street Photography, done with a cell phone.
